Like many males, I've often wondered what it would be like to be a super-spy like James Bond. He's so suave and, um, fit. He can get out of any situation he's in with a witty remark (even if the bad guy just expects him to die).
Two problems with that: (1) my British accent is nowhere near classy enough, and (2) I'm afraid of heights. Oh, also, James Bond is a fictional character, so there's that.
I think my level of spycraft is more along the lines of the Backyardigans (they even have a catchy secret agent theme song). And their spoof of every James Bond movie is still one of my favourite episodes of TV ever.
If you've ever wanted to be an undercover agent, this Sunday is going to be right up your alley because it's Parkland's first ever Secret Agent Sunday. We're heading out into the greater church community around us to see what's going on.
(If you've never wanted to be an undercover agent, well, that's exactly what a spy would say, isn't it, Mr. Bond?)
As a reminder, this means that there is no service at Parkland this Sunday.
If you want to know more about Secret Agent Sunday, click on the image below. We'll debrief our findings during lunch on August 19, and I can't wait to see what we find.
Good luck on your mission, agent. This message will self-destruct.
