Brian has served as a pastor for twenty years, including eight years as an Associate Pastor and nine years as Senior Pastor at Oxford Baptist Church in Woodstock, Ontario. He has a Doctor of Ministry in Preaching from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
We have come to know Brian as a personable and energetic servant of Christ who believes deeply in the power of prayer.
Brian's wife, Carol, is a chartered accountant and has served our national denomination for many years, chairing boards and serving on significant national committees. They have two children, a son Mark and a daughter Rachel.
Kolby has been involved in ministry in formal settings for the past five years. He obtained his Diploma in Youth Work from Columbia Bible College and his Diploma in Youth Leadership from Northwest Baptist Seminary. He is currently working towards his Masters in Christian Studies from Northwest Baptist Seminary which he will complete in 2007. Most recently, Kolby worked as a youth pastor intern in Prince George.
Kolby enjoys building a youth ministry based on learning about God’s Word while having fun (which explains his experience implementing and maintaining skateboard park clubs in Abbotsford and Edmonton).
Kolby's passion for youth and working with them to help them grow in God's love is evident as soon as you meet him. He seeks to disciple youth through "authentic community relationships that are lived while openly and honestly seeking God’s truth". He seeks to mentor youth in their walk with Christ by walking alongside them during their journey.
Kolby's wife, Lori, is a trauma nurse working at Peach Arch Hospital.
Terry grew up in Alberta but made the wise decision to go to school in British Columbia where he has remained ever since. He attended Northwest Baptist Theological College and earned a Bachelor's degree in Religious Education. He met Teresa there and they married in May 1990 and have two children, Chelsey and David.
Terry has been a youth pastor and a worship pastor. Terry sings, plays guitar and writes his own music. While he was the worship pastor at Campbell River Vineyard he co-produced two worship CDs. Teresa is also a musician and sings and plays the piano.
Terry joined the Parkland Staff in December 2003. He enjoys swimming and biking and honours the Parkland tradition of meeting over Tim Horton's coffee.
Deanne is in charge of most administrative work and also looks after creating brochures, planning events, and doing some of most everything else.
As an ongoing ministry, Deanne loves being involved in our dramas. In a very real way, she is critical to the ongoing work of Parkland, contributing significantly in intangible ways that far transcend her value as administrator. She is a great administrator, and she is a great person.
Deanne grew up in Campbell River, but moved to Colombia when she was sixteen. She eventually returned to BC and went to Northwest Baptist Theological College where she met Kevin Gilmour. Deanne and Kevin were married in 1991 and have two children: Jared and Kayla. Together, Deanne and Kevin make an important contribution to the work of Parkland.
Katy is the Director of Children's Ministry at Parkland. She has served with her family on the missions field for most of her life, working with children and youth as opportunities arose. She obtained her Associate of Arts in Youth Ministry at Pacific Life Bible College and after graduation found herself working for the Vancouver School Board alongside students with special needs. She is currently working at University Hill Elementary and loving it.
Katy met her husband, Reigan, at Pacific Life Bible College and married him in August of 2008. Reigan actively serves at Parkland in the Worship and Youth Ministries.
